MANAGER DEPOT CHITILA

• Experience in containers and intermodal industry is a MUST.
• University Degree.
• Competent computer knowledge.
• Fluency in English.
• Meet deadlines as defined by the direct manager.
• General knowledge of the flow of cargo through a port facility.

• The Depot Coordinator is responsible for the entire container terminal operations. Ensure that safety-working rules are strictly ︃​︁︄︄​︁︀︈​︂︀︀observed and followed.

• Manage the Trucking/Rail Operations team and planning working shifts. This includes performing procedures, training, promoting safe working practices, timekeeping, purchasing of the work equipment and so on.
• Manage all Depot’s staff and promote a positive working environment.
• Manage the day to day operations of the Depot.
• Maintenance operations to ensure equipment availability and high level of customer service, while remaining focused on cost elements including performing the list of the containers that will be shipped on the truck/train.
• Daily checking of the GATE IN&OUT containers report, daily checking of the stocks.
• Ensures rules are held for train/trucks service employees and verifies compliance with the rules by monitoring performance on a continuing basis
• Plans the operation of local activity to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements
• Requires a good working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, truck operations, hazardous materials, labor agreements and corporate policies as well and other applications
• Ensures a cost-efficient operation more than current best practices
• Heads and executes specific operations projects, targeted at improving safety, optimizing our resources, minimizing our cost
• Leading role in selection, negotiation and finalization of agreements with suppliers & customers including execution
• Ensures that all labors in the operation are trained in best operation practices with regards to advanced operations strategies
• To closely look into the Cost Control measures making sure that those measures are implemented and in line with the approved budget.
