Homeschooling Teacher

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Experience working with 3-year-old children
• Knowledge of child development stages and principles of early childhood education
• Ability to create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching style to meet individual needs
• First aid certification is a plus
• Creativity in planning engaging lessons and activities
• Ability to manage behavior in a positive way
• Knowledge of how to assess learning and development
• Preferably non-smoker
• Fluency in English.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a part-time homeschooling teacher to work with our 3-year-old son for 2 hours per ︁︈​︂︂︆​︂︂︂​︇︆day, 5 days a week. The teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with our educational philosophy. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt their teaching style to meet the individual needs of our child and make learning fun and engaging. The teaching will be conducted in English.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, and emotional development
• Plan and prepare daily lessons and activities
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of our child
• Monitor progress and communicate regularly with parents
• Establish routines and transitions to promote a sense of security and structure
• Encourage independence and self-confidence
• Model positive behavior and attitudes
• Teach numbers, shapes, and colors
• Implement art and craft activities to promote creativity
• Plan music and movement activities to promote gross motor skills
• Read books aloud to promote language and literacy skills
• Teach social skills through play
• Encourage an interest in learning and exploration.

Working Conditions:

• The position is part-time, 2 hours per day (10:00 – 12:00) , 5 days per week
• The homeschooling will take place in our home
• We have a dedicated space for homeschooling that is safe and welcoming
• We are a non-smoking family.
